History :

Since the end of the 19th century, in the heart of Poitou-Charentes, the traditional activity of cheese-making has been carried on at La Mothe Saint-Héray. In 1897 several goat breeders decided to share their production facilities and know-how by founding the cooperative dairy of La Mothe Saint-Héray.

Thanks to this long experience the cheese factory is now a family firm that combines traditional methods with the contemporary criteria of hygiene and quality (HACCP method).

At the dawn of the third millenium, the cheese factory at La Mothe Saint- Héray is strengthening its presence in Europe and opening up to the world.
